There is a huge amount of freedom that comes to you when you take nothing personally.
The best way to say, "I love you, God," is to live your life doing your best. The best way to say, "Thank you, God," is by letting go of the past and living in the present moment, right here and now.

i feel like these are two quotes i should read every morning before i start my day. it would sincerely lighten the load of crap on my heart. i wish i could start every morning with a clean slate, but not in a 50 first dates kind of extreme, because i keep learning more and more each day, and i know that i find value in the memories i'm constantly creating. mother teresa is a serious role model of mine. she had the grace that would put anyone to shame. she lived her life always saying "yes" to the Lord no matter how taxing it seemed, and even if it seemed to bring her mental/physical/spiritual suffering. and she did it all with a smile. sometimes when i've had enough, i quickly ask for her intervention, because i know she knows.
i can't believe it's the middle of the month. i am truly excited because monday is my 2nd exam and next thursday is my final. yes, final. i'm in love with that word right now. please pray that my grades average out to a B. eerily enough, i feel like physics was just a training ground for the real ish i'm going to have to face with grad school. let's not think that far ahead, that might cause a strain on the already fragile brain cells. i too will just deal with it when it comes my way. it's all a blur, yet such a drag. life seems to be on hold, but also in fast forward. difficult to explain. i just can't believe july will be over soon, and then the packing will ensue. but not ready to talk about that yet, despite just having typed it.
let me just look forward to short term reliefs: physics being over, maia's bridal shower. okay, now breathe!
